2015 Activity Calendar

The primary idea here is to create a community driven outdoor activity calendar for locals and visitors. The secondary goal is to involve individuals, organisations and businesses to showcase the amazing resources ( people, nature, activities ) that we have surrounding the Slocan Lake. I would promote, print and distribute calendar in the area, include advertising for local businesses particularly in exchange for leading trips, This would also be another form of involvement in the community and way to show your products and services. For instance I would lead the Nemo Creek Rock Garden Hike and promote my water taxi/tour service. This is the most basic skeleton calendar and would fill it out with more details as required.

NOW you decide which destination you want to lead and a date and a price.

These activities are co-ordinated and organized as a community service for our locals and visitors. We will assist in making your trip as enjoyable as possible and may be able to assist in transport, emergency communication however you should be prepared to deal with weather, communication, repairs, transport, etc yourself. We will provide guidance on appropriate skill levels, equipment required, getting there instructions, etc but you are responsible for yourself and your party. 

Different trips may offer varying levels of instruction, guiding, or other services which can be discussed with trip leader.

Costs: We have put recommended price down for each trip although you should also consider if additional services like transport have also been provided and compensate appropriately. These trips are volunteer led although this is a source of income for many of our trip leaders so please pay and tip appropriately. Locals pay a  50% discounted rate(?)
